Summer is already rolling back away from Johannesburg. It’s not the rain. It’s no longer sunny at 5am. It’s gloomy. Even some of the trees next door have begun to go autumn red and gold. Its funny how once the December holidays are over, the 2nd half of summer never feels like summer anyway. But this isn’t an update about the weather!
There is great news on the Punk In Africa front. We have officially finished filming and the offline edit is complete. It all now goes off to Prague where to final on-line, HD and 5.1 surround sound editing will be done and we hope to be finished by the end of January. There are also mighty things afoot with regards to the launch and screening of the film, but more about that later!
My next book is going to be a poetry anthology. Titled “For You Or Somebody” like you, it will come out in the first half of 2011. We are in final edit stages now. So of course I will be keeping you posted on that as well.
“1, 2, 1, 2” has been selling well at the shops and a big thank you to any and everyone who has bought a copy. I have two little project in the pipeline that I hope to be able to tell you about next week as well… very exiting!
Then there is The Upright Man. Marc Pienaar and I have decided that playing all the covers we did was righteous and good fun, but its now time to start with some of our own music. We are working on a couple of numbers so the next time you see The Upright man, we will be dropping some of our own numbers into the mix for you. Getting braver and braver.
As I intimated last week, many things are afoot (and ahand and ahead for that matter) so you will be seeing plenty of updates over the next few weeks.
