If you’re a writer in Durban, what better way to end the year than by getting your house in order for your creative writing project for 2013?

Tea Cup and I are proud to present a creative writing workshop in Durban at the DUT Drama Department on Saturday 8 December from 11am.

The workshop will cover areas such as motivation, rhythm and method for the writing process as well as self-promotion and marketing and dealing with literary agents and publishers. We will look at the various challenges facing South African writers (be they poets or novelists) and offer a range of solutions and strategies to navigate the South African landscape as well the challenges presented by the new arena of digital publishing.

The four-hour workshop costs R40.00 per person. Space is limited and potential attendees should call either 0836332707 / 0832456412 to book their place.

This session is aimed at anyone who has always had wiring projects in mind but battled to bring them to completion. It is also for anyone who has never quite figured out how to start at all. It is not a course on how to write but rather how to give your writing life and how to see your ideas through to completion.
