Friday dawns and its all about press release and RSVP’s as news of the launch of my new book, “1,2,1,2; A Step By Step Guide To The SA Music Industry” goes out. Thankfully I am off to the wilds of Dullstroom for some weekend R&R!
It’s been a very busy week, packed with meetings and happenings. But the book is well underway and the launch is all booked and sorted. I am making some fabulous A2 prints of illustrations from the book to auction off at the launch, which is going to look great.
Serious production work on my forthcoming poetry anthology is now underway. We have a cover sorted and are busy deciding on layout shape and form. It will also undergo a second and third edit before we print and are ready to launch in February. Very exciting.
And because there is no such thing as enough, I am also making steady progress with the novel on the occasional early morning. It’s very exiting being in the midst of all these projects.
But now that Friday is here, its time for some whiskey tasting, clay pigeon shooting and general laziness as a whole gang of us heads to the hills for a birthday escape weekend for a friend.
Once the book is out and on the shelves, the pace around here is going to pick up quite sensationally. As it is I am flying around the country, filming a Start Smart workshop with the E TV Popstars finalists as well as MK’s Rockspider Boot Camp. Both some things a bit different. And all on the weekend of the launch in JHB as well!
No rest for the wicked, and the wicked are grateful!
