More Than Blue Collab

The 'More Than Blue collab is a musical work featuring words from the poem, More Than Blue and music/vocals from the Band Sighs Of Monsters
The poem 'More Than Blue' references the New Order track Blue Monday... so for this collab, London-based band, Sighs Of Monsters, created a New Order inspired musical bed for the poem, with a unique vocal melody and performance.
The Sighs of Monsters is a band from London, though none have the same passport, so the absolute truth is more complicated than that. They are all travellers and migrants, or the children of travellers and migrants, and consequently, they share the sounds and rhythms of “all over the place”. But they have found themselves in London and in London they make their stand.

More Than Blue

I dance and twitch in a moment

Eyes fixed on a point

Blue Monday in my ears

Nineteen eighty-five

Heart is exploding

Not because of some girl

Something bigger than myself

Something I recognise

Found my tribe in that moment

A place I would call home

Nineteen eighty-five would last a long time

But my colours are no longer nailed to that mast

They are now my own
